How to be a good player?

Hi,
what is more important for beeing a good player , 1v1 or teamplay?
When i started playin i thought 1v1 is more important .

just play good, and not lag

I think 1v1 is mor important cuz in teamplay u have a teampartner who maybe play so well, that well is enough for ur ,,casually" playing
and in 1v1 u have only urself and need to concentrate.
1v1 s better for practicing.
2v2 -3(-4? xD) f fun. and for show ur knowledge
i think..

for beginner:

first of all u have to know the basics of dmg types and weaknesses of all units and heroes and bgs
train against easy bots and later use advanced bots (100-AI)

then try some 1-1 matches and learn the different main tactics

for semi-pros:

learn to use hotkeys
train ur micro (control of units)
train to become fast


i think its harder to become a good teampartner, cuz timing and support are important points in teamplay

a good player is a good teampartner, with high knowledge,control,speed and can modify basic tactics for special situations

well...
ive seen a lot of players who are good in 1v1 but noobs in 2v2
otherwise i see a lot of good players for 2v2 who cant do anything in 1v1

i think a good player must be good at both
and he must be good in rush and long game

i think he can be not good in rush
but must be good to stop any rush
and kill in long

The Good Player isnt simply someone who have great strategical and tactical skills...
The Good Player should have friendly behaviour and he shouldnt have serius flaws in his personality. I barely can imagine a ignorant and disrespectful person who does swear and curse to be called "good player" by anyone. So it seems for me, being The Good Player is almost impossible task at modern days. Even if you naturally kind and gentle, its too easy to be provoced by dumb or offensive people.

Its just my opinion.

Actually a 100 AI is not the strongest AI.... I tested a lot of options for AI

Maybe the reason is that when everything is on 100 some operations exclude each other...
What happens when they are 100 agressive and 100 deffensive I think some must be reduced I have a really strong AI-s on my PC I have tested them as a spectator and the one with everything on 100 loses big time

whatever.. AI are good training for semi pros and beginners...later AIs are very boring..

i bored AI after i finished first time the 2 story mode..
now days i only use for trying mods

I cannot agree with you AI can be extremelly challeging.... We play on a map for 8 players and all players are in circle and close to each other... We are 3 ppl who are good at the game against 5 AI and sometimes it is impossible to defeat them.... lol they rush in the very beggining toghether at one place.... and they build watch tower near your rice field xD the thing is to develop your settlement after that AI is really boring... but surviving in the beginning is really difficult sometimes

i wanna see an AI who can beat a good player and who build tower on ur rice at a 8 player map ..u talk shit man

1 AI cannot beat even average man... but 5 AI-s can and the 8 player map is actually a SMALL map.... there is one lake in the center and all 8 locations are around the lake they are really close.... sometimes AI comes and build directly hut on your rice field xD I will post the map and the AI-saslo just put 5 of them in one team and try to beat them alone on hard difficulty

ive played so many 3vs5AI on center one year ago and they never built tower near rice field.maybe peasent huts sometimes.and AI are weak. XP super AI too

but why horse usage on 25 is good??
horses are god for everthing..

OK guys I just say we play with those AI-s I dont claim to be good AI creator lol... just generate 5 of those AI-s and see how bad they are The first time we won over them took us 6 hours playtime no kidding

It doesn't happen each time in fact in about 9 games 1 time it will happen and it is rare.... but the pressure AI does on this map is astonishing... I am saying again 1 AI is nothing 5 attacking together are somethin

There is no valid reason to ban this guy, He is just giving out his opinions.

In my opinion there are 4 things wich the real good player needs.

1. He/She needs take the factor time in BR serious and should be able to handle the time
2. He/She must have a great knowledge about br
3. He/She must have a good micro
4. He/She must be able to handle his resources well

(5. He/She must be friendly ^^)

In my eyes it isn't able to say who is the best without a ranklist. So in my opinion a good player just have to win the most games against every player. Of course it is nice if the player is friendly too, but it's not necessary to win a game.

i think yes. its important when u play in team like 2v2 or 3v3
i hate when a player call me noob cuz a little mistake.. :\ its better when friendly cuz i ever lose when my teammate call me what u doing or u are noob etc and i ever win when he say nice, good job or smthing xD
so the 5. point in my opinion maybe 2-3. xD
